it's easy to get started.
Install amigo
Find amigo in the ConnectIQ store and install it on your watch.
Get your code and PIN
Following installation, your watch face flashes a CODE and PIN on screen for about 20 seconds. The code is your identity; anyone with it can see your stats. The PIN is used to login to the Amigo webapp. Treat it like a password. Try to keep track of both your PIN and CODE somewhere, but don't worry if you lose them. They can be revealed again from your settings.
Pick your stat
Open the watch face's settings and set "Friend Stat" to Steps, Miles, or Calories... whichever one you and your friends want to compete on. You can change this any time.
Add your amigos
In settings, enter your friends' codes under "Friend Codes". As many as you'd like! They add your code back the same way on their own watch. That's the whole friend request flow, no invites or approvals. Your watch comes preloaded with my code (WYATTO), my feelings won't be hurt if you delete me!
Make it yours
Set "Your Initials" so people can tell who's who on the leaderboard. Pick a "Color Scheme", and toggle "Drop Shadow" if you want the numbers to pop more against your watch face background.
Wait... (just a bit)
Open the Garmin Connect app (different from ConnectIQ), and 'sync' your watch. Your friends and their stats should update in about 5 minutes. The Garmin OS makes us wait 5 minutes between server requests, so this delay is unfortunately unavoidable.
